The rounding seemed very arbitrary, but it can still be worthwhile if you use it more sparingly and deliberately. I'd say yes on upper left corners, but no on lower left legs. Legs want to be stable.…1 -

An asterisk should not be skewed, but I feel that when it has upright symmetry in the roman, it is appropriate in the italic to tilt it by rotation instead.5 -
